Erin's Review:

At a young age, Maddie found her murdered parent’s bodies after seeing who the murdered was.  It was the father of her best friend/first boyfriend.  Her and Kyle had promised all of their firsts to one another, and until the murder, it seemed like it would all come true.  Murder changes everything. Maddie moved in with her aunt and uncle and never spoke with Kyle again…until she bumps into him in college. The chemistry is immediate and it is abundantly clear that what they have is much more than either of them thought.

The two main characters were not at all what I assumed they would be. Despite the horrible death of her parents, Maddie grew up to be innocent. She is not the hardened, unemotional young lady one would expect.  Kyle is a player with lots of friends and even more girlfriends. But, it was clear early on that what you see on the outside is not what you is on the inside. 

The relationship between Maddie and Kyle made me feel young again. It made me long for the butterflies in my stomach that Maddie got every time she saw Kyle. I loved the message of forgiveness and the lessons of living your life so that you can be happy.  The ending was  a surprise but definitely worth reading. I rated this book a five stars!
