Oh wow! I was an English major but yet I never really enjoyed the books I HAD to read. I think it's because I had to read them. Or I was already craving paranormal and didn't like what I had to read!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Friday Hops

Oh geez. Other than Romeo and Juliet the only book in that list that we were required to read was "The Diary of Anne Frank". I did enjoy that one though. Sad and honest.

Big Shakespeare fan, here! I was one who didn't like most of the books while I read them but by the end I was like *sniff*, "that was so great!" *sniff*. New follower via GFC, btw. Happy Friday! :D

ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow!
ReplyDeleteI studied Romeo and Juliet a few years ago, and while it's safe to say that the majority of the class had no clue what was going on, I absolutely loved it.

I, too, loved Of Mice and Men, but I didn't read that for school :D

I had Romeo and Juliet and The Diary of Anne Frank too. I'm a new follower, thanks for already stopping by FF post this morning.
ReplyDeleteI read Romeo and Juliet and The Diary of Anne Frank as a high school freshman. I had a really great reading list that year.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and following! Following you back via GFC.
Oh my laaawd! you woulda been my best friend in school xD I couldn't staaand those books in English class. But when we finally left the classics alone and ventured more into mythology, then and only then did I actually perk up and pay more attention. I could actually sit there and read Shakespeare and understand it, I just didn't like it. Didn't even like the movies or the "somewhat" modern remake they made.. *sigh* that was a waste of film and precious time in my opinion. >.< But hey, that's just me. Thanks for stopping by my FF. Follow you back <3
ReplyDeletep.s. I saw you recently read One Breath Away by Heather Gudenkauf... I was just in a live chat with her via booktrib.com and got to ask her a few questions. She's a pretty amazing person. Very humble. I won a copy of One Breath Away during the live chat. I'm super excited to read it once it arrives in the mail :) Okay.. sorry for writing such a long comment on your post. hehe. Have a great weekend!

Have a great weekend too! That's cool about the live chat. The book was good, a few predictable parts, but definitely suspenseful enough to keep me up late to finish it.
DeleteHa! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had to read the diary of Anne Frank ... Anyway, thanks for stopping by my blog and following, I've returned the love and followed you too. I hope you have a great weekend!
