Happy Friday everyone and welcome to another one of my Feature and Follow posts! If you are new to my blog, make sure you stop by
my giveaway to win one of the amazing books I've read so far this summer.
RULES
To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:
- (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
- (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
- Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
- If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
- Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
- If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers
- If you're new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!
Q: What would you do over if you were to start your blog again from scratch?
My main regret is not starting off on Blogger and launching on Wordpress.com. With the Java and Flash limitations on Wordpress.com, I decided to move last month which was a huge pain in the butt. If I had to start again from scratch, I'd host on Blogger and probably would like to familiarize myself with more web design techniques. I used many of the default options when designing this blog and I would have preferred a little more customization.
I prefer blogger too. I paid for a website and never got to grips with it. I couldn't really customise it, but now I have a play around with the advanced settings and gadgets on Blogger. My site's not the most beautiful, but it feels like me now :-)
ReplyDeleteNew follower on GFC.
I'm so glad to hear that people love blogger as much as I do. I always wondered about wordpress because I hear a lot of the reverse -- that wordpress is so awesome. But Blogger is so easy to use, I don't think I could ever change!

Blogger is great! Its quite easy to handle and totally free! Wordpress is always in competition with Blogger it seems! Although sometimes i do get confused with 'gadgets' or 'widgets' or whatever there called..haha!
ReplyDeleteNew follower with GFC!
I'm glad I am on blogger, mainly because of the limitations on wordpress. I tried wordpress and unfortunately did not like it.
ReplyDeleteI was on blogger because I have no idea what I am doing! Blogger seemed a little more user friendly for the less tech savvy! Which is soooo me!

Old Follower :)
Hi Heather, Based on advice from someone, I decided to self-host (I found a fabulous deal!) and so it's been interesting to hear about the limitations of Blogger and Wordpress. It was a bit of a gamble though - not sure if it's paying off yet! lol

I did the same! I started on WP and moved to blogger. I cannot afford to self host and found that Blogger just had more to offer me personally. I am a new follower via gfc, nb and linky : )
