Second Sight Book Four FAQs

Since the release of Dark Premonitions last week, I received some questions about the fourth book of the series. Warning! The following does contain spoilers from the third book, so don't continue if you have yet to read it.

When will Second Sight Book Four be released?

I don't have a firm date yet, but most likely it'll come out in early September.

How many books are in the series?

Second Sight Book Four will be the final novel in the series. I have been tossing around the idea of a prequel novella that takes place during the time Kate went into the coma and awoke with her powers. However, the fourth book will most likely be released first.

Is Kate dead?

She's dead-ish, lol. The final scene with Jared's mother takes place in the inbetween. The book will open where the third book left out and readers will find out Rose Corbett's role in everything that has happened to Kate and Jared up to this point.

Will Declan still come between Kate and Jared?

Declan is going to play a pivotal role in the final book. Jared and Declan team up to find out who attacked Kate and develop a sort of shaky friendship.

Will Kate and Jared EVER have sex? (This one is actually from my hubby hehe.)

There are a few love scenes in Second Sight Book Four and since it's been building up for so long, they have to be epic, right?

Release Day!!! Dark Premonitions: Second Sight Book Three

Dark Premonitions is now available for sale on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords. The eBooks copies are live now and I expect the paperbacks to be available through Amazon.com by the weekend. Dark Premonitions takes place a month after the events in New Revelations:

Psychic Kate Edwards had her first premonition—a vision of her own murder by a faceless attacker. With very few clues to go on, she has to use her psychic gifts to uncover who wants her dead. Paranoia sets in and Kate wonders if there’s anybody she can trust.

As Kate fears her impending death, she’s desperate to seek comfort with her ex-boyfriend Jared Corbett. As she tries to win him over once again, she worries that he’ll never forgive her for the mistakes she has made in the past. Kate questions whether fate will give her a chance to be with Jared again before her existence is ended.

Meanwhile, a sixteen-year-old girl has gone missing. The police and her family insist the girl is a troubled runaway, but Kate suspects there’s more to the story. Kate is frantic to locate the girl before her own time runs out.

The tentative release schedule is that the final book in the series Second Sight Book Four will come out in the fall. In the summer, I'm planning on releasing a novella that's a prequel. It's been so fun to write about Kate in college and how her psychic powers came about. Along with that, I'll be working on the sequel to the upcoming Memory Witch from Crescent Moon Press and a standalone new adult contemporary romance.

First Visions: Second Sight Book One is going on tour March 11-16 through Xpresso Book Tours. This is my first tour with the company, but I'm already very impressed with them! The packages are fairly priced and Giselle has been great to work with. Happy Hump Day All! A few updates on my projects today:

Dark Premonitions: Second Sight Book Three will be released on March 7! It’s my birthday, so I’m very excited that the book is going to be ready on time. It will be available through Amazon.com, BN.com and Smashwords.

Memory Witch (Memory Witch #1) has been undergoing edits by the staff of Crescent Moon Press. Once I have a release date, I’ll be posting that information. Everyone at the publishing house has been great and I’ve enjoyed the couple of books I read so far from other CMP authors.

As a bonus, here’s a quick excerpt from Dark Premonitions. Jared and Kate are having dinner with Jared’s aunt while away in Maine =)

Kate sent a swift kick under the table in Jared’s direction. He let out a choked guffaw as she glared at him. As Lizzie and William commenced eating, Jared was unsuccessfully trying to contain his laughter. His hand moved under the table and grabbed her leg before she could assault him again. His fingers trailed up to her knee and squeezed it. Her fork froze midway to her mouth. Instead of releasing her knee, his thumb grazed over thigh. She was suddenly regretting her decision to wear black pants instead of a skirt.

Jared eyebrows shot up as he watched her carefully across the table. She felt his hand start to move away. Her hand darted under the table and she held it in place. His hand inched away from her knee and landed on her thigh. He kneaded her leg and she could feel her pulse quickening the longer he touched her. Her skin was on fire as he maneuvered his fingers to her inner thigh. She was squirming and wondered if Jared could see by her expression the crazed frenzy he was working her into.
